Edward W. Wood, DDS
Edward Wood is a native of Raleigh and a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill. Prior to dental school, Dr. Wood received his undergraduate degree in history from UNC-Chapel Hill. Prior to dental school, he worked two years full time as a dental lab technician making dentures, partials, surgical guides, retainers, and other devices related to dental implant therapy. While in dental school, Dr. Wood completed a voluntary summer rotation at the Cherokee Indian Pediatric Dental Hospital, as well as rotations in Prenatal Oral Health, Baby Oral Health, and Geriatric Oral Health. Doctor Wood’s first job was actually at the Clayton Dental Center upon graduating from dental school where he became acquainted with many of our existing patients. In addition to completing many continuing education courses, Dr. Wood is a member of the Raleigh-Wake County Dental Society, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. Doctor Wood and his wife are happily married, and they two daughters. In his free time Dr. Wood enjoys exercising, fishing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
