Denture Relines
About service:
Your gums and jawbone naturally change over time. As these changes occur, a denture that once fit securely may become loose or begin to move.
A denture reline modifies the surface that rests against your gums to improve the fit.
Hard Denture Reline A hard reline replaces the fitting surface of the denture with new acrylic shaped to the current contours of your mouth. This may be recommended when the denture itself is still in good condition but no longer fits properly.
Soft Denture Reline A soft reline uses a more flexible material between the denture and gum tissue. It may be helpful for patients with sensitive tissues, recurring sore spots, or anatomy that makes a hard denture base uncomfortable.
Temporary Reline A temporary or tissue-conditioning material may be used when the gums are inflamed or when the mouth needs time to heal before a more permanent reline or new denture is completed.
Your dentist will recommend the type of reline and timing based on your individual needs.
