Your First Visit

Your first appointment at Clayton Dental Center gives us an opportunity to get to know you, understand your dental history, and evaluate your current oral health.

Your initial appointment will typically include an examination and a conversation about your dental needs, concerns, and treatment options.

In some cases, treatment may be completed or started during the same visit. More complex dental needs or medical histories may require additional evaluation and a separate treatment appointment.

What to Bring to Your First Appointment

Please bring:

  • Your dental insurance information

  • A current list of medications

  • Recent dental X-rays, if available

  • Any medical or dental records requested by our team

Patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Medical Information

Your overall health can affect your dental care, so it is important that we have an accurate and current medical history.

Please tell our team about significant medical conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure, heart conditions, artificial joints, bleeding disorders, or other conditions that may affect your treatment.

Please also provide a complete list of prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, supplements, and blood-thinning medications you currently take.

Dental X-Rays

If your previous dentist has taken recent dental X-rays, you can ask that office to send them to Clayton Dental Center before your appointment.

If additional X-rays or images are necessary, they can be taken at our office.
